URGENT! URGENT! PLEASE READ STAFF
Dear THQice,
It has come to my attention that Windows 7 is incompatible with this game and I'm begging that you guys please fix this problem please! I'm really tired of the crashing especially when I'm near the boss after dying 3 times and when I finally defeat it the game crashes to my desktop losing all that hard earned work. I'm begging you guys please! I really want to play the game with no problems, it's really fun game I even recruited three of my friends to play with me. And now I don't think it was such a good idea after all. And to make it clear I'm not installing XP why? Cause I don't have it.
Sincerely,
SkySonic

At this time, Dragonica Online is not designed to operate on Windows 7.
This may change in the future.

May?? You guys have to! I mean you guys are just going to leave out 7 users and it's newest OS being released and more and more people are going to use it. And I'm pretty sure you guys would want more players not less (correct me if I'm wrong)

Re: URGENT! URGENT! PLEASE READ STAFF
In other words you "MAY" support the only OS that microsoft will support within the next year? You "MAY" support the OS replacing the now dying XP? You "MAY" want your players to continue playing. Are you guys serious? Get past this may stuff and support the OS most computers are going to be loaded with at OEM! This really isn't that far fetched to ask for seeing as how you want real customers to buy into your cash shop which I would gladly do if it doesn't crash... IF you really are even associated with THQ then you should be supporting the newest technology anyways. And if this sounds hostile it's not, it's just truthful.

Yes, blame it all on the people who published the game, not the people who made it.

Actually my friend I blame all the ones from the coders to the publishers as publishers can refuse to distribute until they fix a critical bug. Nice try though. And before you try to argue anymore I have been in a Development cycle and have had first hand experience at this.

Rofl, I like how you're pointing the finger at the publishers because it's a "critical bug".
FOR WINDOWS 7. WHICH IS IN BETA RIGHT NOW.
Yes, eventually, everyone will have Windows 7. However, as Vista is the highest actual form of Windows you can buy, it doesn't make sense for them to specifically make it for Windows 7. I think it should be compatible, but isn't it even Windows fault for having a faulty run-in-compatibility-for modes? I've never had the "Run in Compatibility Mode" thing work for me... ever. And in theory, that should fix the problem, right?
I'm angry that Barunson doesn't support Windows 7. I want Windows 7 as soon as it comes out. But you can't blame the publisher, who has absolutely no control over it. Send angry letters to Barunson.

Although I can't speak on behalf the other users who are using Windows 7, but I can play Dragonica just fine on Windows 7. Maybe there is something else that's giving you problems? Besides, it's always a waiting game when it comes to developing games to be compatible for new OS, demanding them for this won't make this any faster.

Re: URGENT! URGENT! PLEASE READ STAFF
Yeah not blaming publishers but they can hold out until a critical bug is fixed. Yes it is critical because according the MSDN download of Windows 7 which is provided by Microsoft for students, this is the Manufacturer's version, no mention of beta, or rc at all. This makes me want to turn to 64bit like some others have suggested. No compatibility mode does not work though theoretically it should. In any case, if a publisher were to say that some of its playerbase is unable to connect the dev team might actually listen. Seeing as how the publisher is our port to the devs, this is the only option we have. And no demanding won't do anything but guess what, no one hears you if you do not speak up... One voice adds to another, which adds to another, and eventually it reveals one huge boom that no publisher or developer could ever ignore.
If the other big gaming houses like big blue or SoE had said "We May Support Windows 7 in the Future" you could almost bet your house that subs would be pulled and people would be pissed. Nipping this in the bud earlier makes it easier to slipstream into future code. Waiting too long will lead to a bigger headache to fix. With my final two cents, I'm done with this thread. If you want to continue the conversation I would gladly hold a PM conversation. (In other words, I'm done feeding the trolls that exist in this forum.) I just hope the Publisher can get the Devs to see the light of preparing for the future.
Thank you Very Much for your Time
-A hopeful Dragonica Online Player
