A new year has begun and change is coming to Dragonica Online! January brings a lot of new elements to the game and here's an introduction of all of it. First to mention is the new server, Dekard, which will afford new and old players a fresh start on a level playing field. The launch of this realm will be paired with fitting events including Mission Map scoring challenges, races to populate guilds, and rewarding server firsts such as reaching certain levels.
When Dekard opens on January 26th at 5:00 AM Pacific, two new dungeons will be available to players on both the new server and the Vyvern server: Temple of Water, built for mid-level characters, and the high-level Van Cliff Mansion. The new monsters and challenges found in these instances will yield powerful armors and weapons. Pair this new loot with a new combat pet, the Woodster! Once a low-level enemy, these creatures can now be commanded to fight by your side.
As if there wasn't enough happening in January already, we're reintroducing the O/X Quiz in a redesigned, more frequent format. The [Gada Coin]s you earn from these events will be able to purchase new loot from our freshly restocked Vendor Machines in-game. And, to cap off the month, a two-week-long +50% EXP Boost will help you reach that next level in a big way. Read on for full details!

- Wrath of the Winter Wardens: Wacky winter-obsessed individuals calling themselves the "Winter Wardens" have taken to planting forests of fake Winter Solstice Celebration trees! Destroy the fake trees they plant to preserve the sanctity of the season and enjoy the leftover holiday consumables they drop. Starts January 16th. Click here for more information.
- Countdown to Dekard: Starting January 22nd, four days of increasing EXP boosts! Each day adds another +10% to the normal experience rate until...
- Dragon Dash: ...we reach January 26th, beginning a two-week-long +50% EXP boost on both Vyvern and Dekard to celebrate the launch of the new server and the first month of 2010!
- Events on the New Server: The Aim for the Top event makes a return! Top scorers in Mission Maps on the new server, Dekard, will be rewarded for their efforts. Rapid leveling more your style? Strive to be a "server first" and reach a milestone level before anyone else in our Realm Race event! That's not all, My Guild Rolls Deep rewards growing guilds with prizes as well!
