The days grow dark in the world of Dragonica. A bitter wind sweeps through the towns of El Grego and Angrakka. The sky is cold and dim. This foreboding atmosphere is harbinger to what's soon to come.

Terrible creatures have been seen along the edge of the deep woods. They skulk and lurk and lie in wait for easy prey. Villages threatened by these unspeakable beasts have started to change. The people have taken to decorating themselves as horrible monsters, covering their homes in bizarre lights, and carving crops into distorted visages.

A macabre festival environment fills the air as the Nights of Fright are upon us!

Details: Dragonica Online celebrates October with two weeks of creepy costumes, spooky surprises, and marauding monsters!
Duration: October 20th until October 31st

• The nine villages of El Grego and Angrakka are getting into the spirit of the season with Nights of Fright decorations! Capture the holiday in a screenshot and compete for prizes in our Nights of Fright screenshot contest, Scary Screens. Click here for contest details.

• Trick or Treat with the Game Masters on October 25th, 26th, and 31st! They will be handing out handfuls of sweet treats in the starter towns and Port of the Winds to celebrate the Nights of Fright. Get your candy buckets ready! Click here for event details.

• Buff-providing Nights of Fright candy is dropped by the special event monsters roaming the Field Maps of Dragonica. Here is a list of these special sweets:
  • [Candy Pumpkin]: This will increase Attack Speed by 5% for 10 minutes.
  • [Colorful Candy]: This will increase STR by 10 for 10 minutes.
  • [Colorful Chocolate]: This will increase Movement Speed by 5% for 10 minutes.
  • [Ghost White Chocolate]: This will increase maximum HP by 300 for 10 minutes.
  • [Pumpkin Cookie]: This will increase INT by 10 for 10 minutes.
  • [Pumpkin Cupcake]: This will increase AGI by 10 for 10 minutes.
  • [Pumpkin Lamp]: This will increase HTL by 10 for 10 minutes.
  • [Witch's Hat Chocolate]: This will increase maximum MP by 300 for 10 minutes.

• Randy, the Nights of Fright Host dressed as a ghost, has a new quest chain available for heroes level 18 and up. Hunt down the vampires and werewolves terrorizing Field Maps across the countryside to be able to defeat the banshee who haunts Mission Maps throughout Dragonica Online. Your reward will be a Nights of Fright-themed cosmetic weapon which grants Critical Rate +3%. These prizes only last during the holiday so make good use of them! To start this quest chain, find Randy in Port of the Winds or Libra.

• The [Nights of Fright Batwing Balloon], a new animated holiday balloon item, is available as a rare drop from the banshee, a special boss monster found in Mission Maps during the Nights of Fright. See how many you and your friends can get as you could always use the largest number of equipped [Nights of Fright Batwing Balloon]s in a single image in our Scary Screens screenshot contest! This cosmetic balloon item is yours to keep as a souvenir of Nights of Fright.

• Special holiday costumes can be found in the Cash Shop. When worn as a set, these costumes grant special bonuses. Also, the "Gimme Some Candy, Randy" achievement medal has been added for purchasing a complete costume package. This medal puts a holiday-themed message above your character's head and grants Evade Rate +1.5%, MP Recovery +1.5%, and HP Recovery +1.5% when worn! These costumes are only available for a limited time. Once the Nights of Fright are gone, they are too. However, the achievement medal is permanent!
  • [Akazi Package]: MP Recovery Rate +4% (available 10/20/09)
  • [Black Witch Package]: Female Only, Attack Speed +3% (available 10/20/09)
  • [Crazy-Eyed Kitty Package]: Phys. Defense +4% (available 10/28/09)
  • [Jack o'Lantern Package]: Attack Speed +1%, Aim Rate +1% (available 10/28/09)
  • [Red Devil Package]: Aim Rate +3% (available 10/28/09)
  • [Spooky Bones Package]: Evade Rate +3% (available 10/28/09)
  • [Vampire Package]: Male Only, HP Recovery Rate +4% (available 10/20/09)
